Flight Permits for charter operation/commercial

The non-schedule operations in Brazil with a commercial purpose (charter, tec stop and/or overflight) require the concession of permits, which process begins with the company’s registration before ANAC and its link into ANAC’s system SIROS (for charter flights) and SIAVANAC (for technical landings and overflights). For the registration and permit request, the following documentation is necessary:

  • Power of attorney (standard model available upon contact);
  • Insurance certificate in force;
  • FOP 129-3 – (standard model available);
  • AOC;
  • Scanned copy of the company’s Operations Specification;
  • PSOA Statement (standard model available upon contact).

The new registration process for foreign air carriers, implemented by ANAC on Feb/2017, added more procedures (sworn translation and registration before the Titles and Documents Notary – RTD) and established a deadline of a minimum of 15 working days to conclude the said registration. Therefore, we suggest that once the company has plans or possibilities to operate to Brazil, that it arranges the documentation listed below as soon as possible. After said registration, permits are obtained in between 24 to 48 hours.
